Michael Pollan on Reddit

I generally don’t do Monday blogposts, but this event is important enough to post for those of you who are interested in learning more about GMO foods and Prop 37 (for California readers).

Have a look at this Reddit thread featuring a Q&A with Michael Pollan, a personal hero of mine.

Michael Pollan is adjunct faculty at University of California Berkeley, and a best-selling author on food and food politics. He recently released a beautifully illustrated version of his book Food Rules, which outlines simple rules to follow to create a healthy and vibrant life — all while eating simply and deliciously.

He’s also written a brilliant manifesto on food politics and eating strategies called In Defense of Food something that I reference quite frequently for myself. To quote from Pollan’s website:

In Defense of Food shows us how, despite the daunting dietary landscape Americans confront in the modern supermarket, we can escape the Western diet and, by doing so, most of the chronic diseases that diet causes.

I strongly recommend picking up one or both of these gems, but definitely check out the Reddit conversation, and ask a question yourself if you read this in time to participate!
